Don’t go through his things but let him know how you felt about him going through your diary. It’s pretty much the most private possession you have, no?

If you want something realistic, try a Myers Briggs Test. – You should be able to find a free one… A good test will have at LEAST 70 questions…
Basically there are 16 personality types. It shows what type you are… and you’ll be surprised how spot on it is about who you are… After you can research how your REALISTIC personality is compatible with other people… And even career choices you may enjoy.
Consider it sometime when you’re bored.

This guy has violated the trust that you had in him. You need to confront him and ask him to explain his conduct.If he apologizes immediately,then forgive him. But if he tries to justify or to explain it without taking responsibility,then it shows a serious character flaw and you may need to end all contact with him.Ask him how he would have felt if the shoe was on the other foot and you were the one going through his things.
